Grau, Enrique Biography
Enrique Grau was born in Panama, and raised inCartegna, Columbia. Renowned for his depictions of Indian and Afro-Colombian figures, Grau was a member of the triunvirate of key Colombian artists of that also included Botero and Alejandro Obregon. A self-made artist, Grau studied at the Art Students Laegue in NYC, in the early 1940s. He later toured Italy, before moving to the city of Cartagena. Enrique Grau died inBogota at the age of 83, he is inseparable linked with Columbian art.
